Common questions

I signed up and cannot get in

Every account has to confirm its email address before the app will open. Check your spam folder for the message from CrewHub. If it is not there, sign in and the app will offer to send it again.

I have a code from my employer and nothing happens

A joining code is valid for 30 minutes. If yours has expired, ask the person who gave it to you to press "New code" — they can do that themselves at any time.

My employer has not approved me yet

Joining with a code creates a request; the employer approves it. Until then the app shows a waiting screen. Nothing is lost while you wait.

The app says I am not at the job site

Location is only used while a shift is open, to record whether a clock-in happened at the site. Accuracy depends on the phone: indoors and underground, a phone often cannot get a good position. When it cannot, the shift is recorded as "location unknown" rather than guessing — so nothing false is written about where you were.

I am not getting notifications

Open More → Notifications and switch them on, then allow the permission the phone asks for. Notifications need the app installed from TestFlight or the App Store; they do not work in a browser tab on iPhone.

I want to delete my account

You can do it yourself, in the app: More → Settings → Delete account. What is deleted and what is kept is written out in full on the account deletion page. If you cannot get into the app, email us from the address on the account and we will do it for you.

I deleted a photo, a document or a receipt by mistake

We can get it back. Deleting something removes it from everyone's screens straight away, but the file itself is kept where the app cannot reach it for seven years from the day it was deleted — not from the day it was made, so an old photograph is no more urgent than a new one. A mis-tap is not the end of it.

Email us from the address on your account with roughly what it was and when it was deleted, and we will restore it. There is no button for this on purpose: putting things back is rare and worth a person looking at it, rather than a second button sitting next to the first one.

Something about my hours or pay looks wrong

CrewHub records hours and calculates pay from what your employer sets. It is not a payroll service and it does not pay anybody — the money always moves between you and your employer directly. If a number looks wrong, speak to your employer first; if you believe the app itself is calculating it wrongly, email us with the dates and we will look.
